After departing the stage a second time, Avenged were back on stage to perform a full nine minutes of A Little Piece of Heaven. This was all topped off by not just one encore, but two. avenged sevenfoldĪt the time they’d recently released Hail To The King, although the set was easy on tracks from the new album, and the band focused on earlier songs with Bat Country getting the crowd amped up and an emotional So Far Away dedicated to The Rev which garnered at least a full minute of applause from the crowd and thousands of lighters to go up in the air. We were even treated to Synyster playing God Save the Queen as a token of appreciation for their British crowd. Shadows was on fire as frontman for the band with swagger galore and it’s great to see a band so humble and glad to be where they were, interacting with the crowd all night whilst bringing out the big songs, most notable the brilliant Nightmare which had the whole crowd singing along. The stage production, fireworks and pyrotechnics alone were incredible, and the crowd size was impressive for a band that had apparently divided people’s opinions. Their fans were rewarded with witnessing a triumphant performance and their critics finally silenced.
